Itinerary

Where This Fits in a Uganda Itinerary

Queen Elizabeth National Park in western Uganda combines open savannah, the Kazinga Channel, crater lakes and the Ishasha sector, which is known for tree-climbing lions. It is a popular stop between Kibale and Bwindi, so activities here are often added to a game drive and launch cruise.

Travellers hoping for lions usually plan at least two nights in the park, combining Kasenyi game drives with the Ishasha sector. Whatever you choose, build days around travel time: driving distances between the parks are long, and early starts are normal on a Uganda safari. If you are comparing destinations, start with Uganda's national parks and our Uganda safaris and tours.
