How to Book a Uganda Safari with Ameera Africa Safaris

A clear step-by-step guide to booking your Uganda safari, from first enquiry to the day you land in Entebbe.

Booking a safari should feel straightforward. Here is how it works with Ameera Africa Safaris, so you know what to expect at each stage. We are based in Kampala at 1st Floor, Luzira House, Portbell Road, and our team handles every booking personally.

If you are still deciding, start with Uganda safari packages or Uganda safari holidays.

The process

Step 1: Send Us Your Enquiry

Use the contact form, the booking form on any tour page or message us on WhatsApp. Tell us your dates, number of travellers, interests and approximate budget. You do not need a full plan.

Step 2: Receive a Tailored Itinerary

We reply with an itinerary and a price based on your details, with lodges, activities and what is included. We can prepare more than one version so you can compare. See safari cost guide.

Step 3: Adjust Until It Is Right

Ask for changes: longer, shorter, different lodges or extra activities. We update the plan until you are happy.

Step 4: Confirm and Secure Permits

When you confirm, we reserve the permits and accommodation for your dates. This is the point where we recommend booking international flights, so permits come first.

Step 5: Prepare Your Documents

Check your passport, visa and yellow-fever certificate. Our guide to travel documents and the resources page explain what you need. Arrange travel insurance.

Step 6: Arrive and Enjoy

Your driver-guide meets you at Entebbe, and your itinerary begins. We stay available throughout the trip, and you can reach us on +256 393 194074 or WhatsApp.

  3. Refine: adjust days, accommodation level and extras until it suits you.
  4. Confirm and pay a deposit: to secure permits and lodges.
  5. Pre-departure: we send final documents, packing advice and arrival details.

Money

Payment and Cancellation

A deposit normally secures permits and lodges, with the balance due before travel. Permits are often non-refundable once issued, so understand cancellation terms before paying. Ask for payment details in writing and use official channels. Keep receipts and confirm each booking reference.

Booking Permits: What Changed in 2026
