West Nile Districts of Uganda: Arua, Nebbi, Moyo, Adjumani and the Albert Nile
The far north-west of Uganda, between the Albert Nile and the borders with the DR Congo and South Sudan.
West Nile is the region of north-western Uganda that lies along the Albert Nile and borders both the DR Congo and South Sudan. Its main town is Arua, and its districts include Nebbi, Zombo, Pakwach, Koboko, Yumbe, Moyo and Adjumani. The Alur, Lugbara, Madi and Kakwa are among the peoples who live here.
Few tourists visit, but the region borders Murchison Falls National Park to the south-east and Lake Albert to the south. Pakwach, near the Nile bridge, is the gateway to the northern side of Murchison. See Murchison Falls, Lake Albert and the Nile in Uganda.
