Akagera National Park, Rwanda: Big Five, Lake Ihema and Safari Guide
Rwanda's only savannah park, now with the Big Five.
Akagera National Park lies on Rwanda's eastern border with Tanzania and is the country's only savannah park. After decades of decline, conservation work brought back lions and rhinos, so the Big Five can now be seen. The landscape combines savannah, lakes and papyrus swamps along the Akagera River.
Activities include game drives and boat trips on Lake Ihema. See the 3-day Akagera wildlife tour and the Rwanda guide.
