This 3 days Uganda wildlife Safari takes you to Lake Mburo National Park one of Uganda’s spectacular safari parks. Lake Mburo National Park has open grass valleys and beautiful rolling hills, with thickets, woodlands and rich wetlands.
It anchorages numerous variety of mammals; Zebras, Impala, Buffaloes, and birds which encompass of bill storks which are found nowhere else in the country, its sculptured scenery with rolling grassy hills and tranquil lake shore has a wide-ranging assortment of territories forest galleries, cyclic and permanent swamps and rich acacia wood valleys which all support a wealth of wildlife. Lake Mburo National Park is only 260 sq. km, location in Mbarara District 3.5 hours drive from Kampala to the National Park. Being the smallest of the Uganda’s savanna National Parks, its mosaic habitat, dry hillside, rocky outcrops, bushes thickets, open and wooded savanna forests, lakes and swamps are home to a surprising diversity of plants and animals. The park’s Size is rounded up to make a figure of 260 km2. It’s a very special place every part covered with green everywhere you turn for example, variety, interest and colour contains an extensive area of wetland one of the only two such habitats to be included within a National Park in Uganda.
Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park from Kampala.
Depart for Lake Mburo National Park early morning with your guide for a scenic drive through the extension of the magnificent plains with a variety of attractions. You will visit the Equator for some photographic opportunity. Have a stopover for lunch and then continue with a game drive en-route. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and then you will take an afternoon boat trip on Lake Mburo. View the water birds such as the Papyrus Gonolek, Brown-faced lapwings, Caruthers’s cist colas, the extraordinary White winged Warbler and Bare-faced Go-away bird.
Day 2: Game drives and a Nature Walk
Have an early morning game drive, whereby you will be able to see the sun risers and many more. Later, return to the lodge for a late breakfast and relax. After lunch, carry out a Nature walk in the Park to see more animals and also stretch your legs hence wind up the evening at the lodge, dinner and over night.
DAY 3: Lake Mburo – Kampala
After Breakfast depart for Kampala, arriving early Evening. Retire to your hotel.
