Uganda is believed to have the uppermost primate inhabitants’ concentration in the world; the most well-known of these are the mountain gorillas, chimpanzees, different monkey species and baboons. These unique creatures you will come across in big numbers in National Parks like Bwindi, Mgahinga, Kibale National Park, among others. And when it comes down to the bird species, Uganda is believed to host almost half of the bird species found in Africa.
Some of the wildlife you will encounter includes the famous “big five” that is the lion, buffalo, leopard, rhino and elephant which are found in most of the key parks. Others consist of zebras, giraffes, Jackson’s Hartebeests, waterbucks, hyenas, warthogs, antelopes, tree climbing lions found only in Queen Elizabeth National Park, among others.
