3 days Queen Elizabeth NP Tour
DAY 1: SAFARI QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK.
This day trip begins with breakfast from your lodge and later pick up by your tour guide. Travel for around 8 hours to south western Uganda, stops at the equator point where you can take a lunch break and buy a few snacks, drinks, gift items and take memorable photographs. Continue to the park, tucked away in breathtaking beauty of the rising escarpment, crater lakes, savannah grasslands and water streams.
Get an evening game drive through the park or rest in the comfort of your lodge for the rest of the evening. Accommodation of all standards and rates is available around the park. Budget packages offer ACCOMMODATION IN Instirute of Ecology, Hippo Hill camp and Ihamba Lodge. Secure luxury facilities from Jacana Lodge, Katara Lodge, Kingfisher resort and Mweya Safari Lodge.
DAY 2: GAME DRIVE AND LAUNCH CRUISE
There is an early morning game drive to the north of the park where the savannah grasslands are bountiful with leopards, zebras, elephants, Uganda kob, genets, lions, jackals, giant forest hogs, bushbucks, spotted hyenas, vervet monkeys, olive baboons and chimps. Return to the lodge for sumptuous breakfast/ lunch and head to the Kazinga channel for a launch cruise.
The boat ride has more game viewing prospects, with sights of many animals like elephants, lions, crocodiles, buffalos and monkeys drawing to the banks of the channel during the dry season. The channel has over 600 species of birds like the pelican, shoebill stork among others, making it a birder’s paradise. Experience the spectacular sunsets on the boat ride and then return to your respective lodges for dinner and overnights.
DAY 3: NATURE WALK / CHIMPANZEE TRACKING
Go on a nature walk early in the morning to Kyambura wildlife reserve set on the gorge, a popular track for chimpanzee tracking. There are also other primates in this forest reserve such as olive baboons, vervet monkeys, bush babies, colobus monkeys etc.
Head back to your lodge for breakfast and get ready for returns to Kampala. Stop by the nearby Maramagambo forest for nature walks into the lush forest, visit the hunter’s caves-home to thousands of bats and pythons.( this trek may not be included in the package and may require extra costs)
Drive off to Kampala and later catch your return flight.
